Deadman Turner was found at the Launceston Tip being raised by spotted-tail quolls, and brought up (by his profoundly deaf, adoptive parents) on a diet of Polish polka and Hungarian salami. After whiling away a few years in touring the world by unicycle, editing English-language versions of jihadist weapons-training manuals, and teaching Braille-typing in an Ukrainian whorehouse, Deadman returned to Tasmania where he learned to play slide guitar during the time he spent waiting in vain for the devil to appear down at the crossroads.
Deadman Turner is a musical figment of Informal’s imagination.
Informal dwells in Battery Point, Tasmania, writes unreliable descriptions of himself in the third person, and also neglects other web-sites:
Informal composes and produces music, and diffidently maintains several bands and musical sites, including:
Blue-Ringed Octopus at mp3.com.au and Myspace;
Deadman Turner at Informalmusic, Macidol, mp3.com.au, Myspace and Reverbnation;
Gillard the Liar;
The Mucous Membranes; &
Pedicabo Vos & Irrumabo.
